A note on our name
This story dates from our time as Namati Moçambique. In 2026 we became Matimba, an independent Mozambican organisation. The work described here is ours; only the name has changed.
Avelino, a patient living with HIV, talks about why this work is lifesaving. In the past there was no privacy. People stopped coming to the hospital. Many were dying. Now there are dignified conditions and people come.
