Approved and adopted by the Ministry of Health, the Patient Bill of Rights and Responsibilities reaffirms the fundamental human rights owed to every patient, safeguarding human dignity, integrity, and autonomy in the provision of health care. This brochure helps communities understand their rights, including the right to respect, information, freedom from discrimination, informed consent, and confidentiality and privacy — as well as the right to provide feedback, lodge a complaint, and receive a timely response.
