A note on our name
This story dates from our time as Namati Moçambique. In 2026 we became Matimba, an independent Mozambican organisation. The work described here is ours; only the name has changed.
Too often, patients have to choose between their health and their privacy. Sílvia wanted to be tested for HIV, but the exam room in the health facility was full of people. Everyone would hear her results. She left that day, but she didn’t give up.
